Quarterly, the best submission in each category is recognized with our prizes and featured prominently in our journal. At the end of the year, we present the Godhuli Chari Prize to the best submission of the year. We automatically consider all published entries in Godhuli Review for our prizes.
The Godhuli Chari Prize
At the end of the year, we award the Godhuli Chari Prize of NPR 10,000 to the best submission of the year, which may come from any category. The editorial team chooses winners based on overall quality and impact.
The Jhilimili Raat Prize for Poetry
We award the Jhilimili Raat Prize for Poetry of NPR 1,000 to the best poem published in our journal every quarter. That is, we present one prize for each of the four quarters of the year.
The Dusk Prize for Fiction
We award the Dusk Prize for Fiction of NPR 2,000 to the best piece of fiction published in our journal every quarter. That is, we present one prize for each of the four quarters of the year.
The Dawn Prize for Nonfiction
We award the Dawn Prize for Nonfiction of NPR 2,000 to the best piece of nonfiction published in our journal every quarter. That is, we present one prize for each of the four quarters of the year.
The Ujyalo Bihani Prize for Essay
We award the Ujyalo Bihani Prize for Essay of NPR 1,500 to the best essay every quarter. That is, we present one prize for each of the four quarters of the year.
